Special Rounds are conducted after the completion of CAP Rounds 1, 2, and 3. They are a lifeline for students who are yet to secure a seat.

Executive Summary
- Who: Students not allotted anywhere, students who cancelled admission, or students who missed applying earlier.

Who is Eligible?
- Students NOT allotted any college in Round 1, 2, 3.
- Students who did not take admission despite allotment.
- Students who cancelled their confirmed admission.
- Students who were rejected due to wrong documents.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Unlock/Reset Option Form
Purpose: To make fresh choices. Action:
- Log in.
- Unlock Part-2 (Option Form).
- Consent: You might need to click "Participate in Special Round".
2. Edit Preferences
Purpose: To select available seats. Action:
- Check the Vacancy List for Special Round (very important!). Top colleges might have 0 seats left.
- Add colleges where vacancies exist.
- Lock the form.
3. Allotment & Admission
Purpose: Final chance. Action:
- Check allotment.
- Proceed for admission immediately.
FCFS (First Come First Serve)
- In some years, after Special Rounds, the government introduces FCFS rounds.
- Process: You see a live vacancy, click "Apply", and the seat is yours instantly. You must rush to college to confirm.
- Note: FCFS rules change every year. Check official notifications.
FAQ
Q: Can I get a top college in Special Round? A: Rare. Most top colleges fill up in Round 1 and 2. However, cancellations do happen, creating a few vacancies.
Q: Is this the last round? A: Usually, there are 1-2 Special Rounds followed by FCFS or Daily Merit Rounds until the cutoff date.
