Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualification
- Passed 10th Standard: You must have passed the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board or any equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- English Subject: Passing in English is mandatory for admission to FYJC.
- Five Subjects: Admission is based on the "Best of 5" rule for SSC students. For other boards, marks are converted/normalized as per state rules.
2. ATKT (Allowed To Keep Term)
- Students who have failed in one or two subjects in the SSC examination (Maharashtra Board) can apply for admission under the ATKT category.
- Note: ATKT students are usually not eligible for "Bi-focal" subjects in the first round.
3. Age Limit
- There is generally no strict upper age limit specified for FYJC, but students must typically be in the age group corresponding to post-secondary education (15-17 years).

1. Identify College Location
Purpose: To know if you need to apply online or offline. Action:
- Find the exact location of the college you want to join.
- Check if it falls under any of the Municipal Corporations listed above.
- If YES: You MUST apply via
mahafyjcadmissions.in. - If NO: Visit the college for offline admission forms.
2. Selecting Region in Portal
Purpose: To enter the correct admission zone. Action:
- Go to mahafyjcadmissions.in.
- You will see buttons for "Mumbai", "Pune", "Nagpur", "Nashik", "Amravati".
- Click the region where the COLLEGE is located (not necessarily where you live).
- Example: If you live in Pen (Raigad) but want admission in a Mumbai college, select Mumbai.
Region-wise Notes
- Mumbai MMR: This is the largest region with the highest number of colleges and students. It includes vast suburban areas.
- Pune: Covers the twin cities of Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
- Other Areas: For rural Maharashtra or smaller towns (e.g., Kolhapur, Aurangabad, Solapur), admissions are generally offline or conducted via local college clusters, not this central portal.
